Nevermind's unexpected chart-topping success at the beginning of 1992 helped establish it. It was Nirvana's biggest hit and peaked at the top of the charts in 1991 and 1992 and also in Belgium, France, New Zealand, and Spain as well as on many other international music industry charts.
